Family Table

Scripture is filled with imagery of banquets, feasts, and meals. We often find Jesus sharing a meal with His followers, sinners even. Then, finally, the banquet of all banquets, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, when the church celebrates unity with Christ in the final defeat of all darkness. Gathering around the table has been symbolic for thousands of years for all of mankind, but it has special significance for God’s people, then, now, and in the future.

Around the table, we bond, we fellowship, we encourage, we deepen our love for one another — we serve our brothers and sisters physically and spiritually. That’s what Family Table is all about! In our digital age, embodied community has suffered, as has the emotional, mental, and spiritual health of people. We weren’t created for isolation, we need the family of God!

On the first Sunday evening of each month, we gather for a meal as a church. Everyone is welcome to join us! We typically meet at our original building location at 330 E. 14th Street.
