Announcements - April 2024

(Announcements from email sent out 4/3/24)

330 Building
This past Sunday, we announced that we will continue having Sunday services in the 330 Building beyond the original February-March timeline. We believe this time has fostered closer community within the church and even allowed a couple of neighbors to join us for worship. There is change happening in the hearts of people!

Family Table
This coming Sunday (4/7/24) is Family Table! Bring your favorite dish and plan to stay after service to enjoy lunch and fellowship with the family of God. You need the people of God and the people of God need you!

Kids Ministry
We're excited about a new season for our kids! New leaders have stepped in to minister to our kids with a brand new curriculum that focuses on four core truths of who they are in God's Big Story: 1) God knows me, 2) Jesus loves me, 3) The Holy Spirit leads me, 4) I am a child of God. We want kids to learn about God and enjoy the journey!

Sundays on 14th Street

UPDATE (4/5/24): We will continue having Sunday services at 330 E. 14th Street beyond the original February and March timeline! Once we make a change, we will announce it via email, text, social media, and the website. If we don’t have your contact information, fill out this form.

Beginning Sunday, February 4 we will be temporarily moving Sunday morning worship to the 330 Building for the months of February and March.

Why are we doing this?

We believe this is something God wants us to do in this season. For anyone who was part of those years spent in the 330 Building, you know what a special time of ministry it was. God worked in a very tangible way—sinners were saved, people were delivered from sin, believers were filled with His Spirit, worshipers worshipped, and neighbors witnessed the love of Christ in our service and hospitality. We believe God wants to do it again!

What do we need from you?

  1. Prayer - Please join us in prayer. Ask God to pour out His Spirit. Ask God to reveal who needs to join us, who needs to meet Jesus, who needs their love of God rekindled—invite them to worship with us.

  2. Help - Before February 4th, we need some help cleaning up and moving some stuff around. Do you have some free time to help?

  3. Contact - We need our church family to know about this change. Will you contact some people who might miss the announcement?

Life Community Church was planted in February 2006 and we believe God can and will do a new work in February 2024. That's our prayer. That's our expectation.

Mark your calendar:
February 4th - 10:00 a.m.
330 E. 14th Street

Coffee for Here

Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day.
— Dallas Willard

Why coffee “for here?” Life is busy. We are busy. Every once in a while, we should sit down with a coffee “for here” rather than “to go.”

How are we doing this?

We’re opening a coffee bar, meeting areas, and kids’ playroom to encourage people to take a break from the busy pace of life and enjoy a moment of rest. There aren’t any “to go” cups, because we want you to stay! If you need a quick morning coffee or just the best coffee in town, we recommend stopping by Arbuckle Craft Coffee or Perfect Blend. (We are buying coffee from Arbuckle Craft Coffee to support their business!)

Who is this for?

This space is for anyone feeling the busyness of life. There are quiet places to meet, read, or sit in a moment of stillness. This space is also for parents—there’s a playroom to let your kids play while you take a moment for yourself or the other people in your life.

We’re not trying to be in the coffee business, we’re in the people business. Ultimately, we want to tend to the needs of souls, building healthy individuals and families. The intent of this space is to invite people to slow down, taking time to have a conversation, read, study, or just a break for parents with small children at home.

Note: The playroom will not be staffed. Parents will be responsible for monitoring children and ensuring they put away toys after they’ve finished playing. This also means children can’t be dropped off—parents must remain in the building.

The Details.

Cost: It’s free! Coffee, drinks, and snacks will have suggested donation prices but we don’t want money to get in the way of you and your family enjoying the space.

Hours: We’re aiming to be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We will open more days and hours as demand increases or local supporters come on board.

Location: 330 E. 14th Street, Ada, OK

Some future plans: popcorn and a movie, small indoor inflatables, classes, etc. We have around 9,000 square feet of space, so if you have an idea, contact us or stop by the building anytime during the week to chat!
